He had horrible epilepsy and it is believed to be the cause of death.

My mother (Melba Henry George), remembers an evening when Junior was at their home for dinner. During the meal, he had a seizure, causing him to fall backwards in his chair to the floor. She said the adults present knew what to do, and after the seizure subsided, he came back to the table and finished eating. My mother, who was only around 4 years old at the time, said that she remembered that it scared her, but after that, she knew what to expect. Junior passed away on my mothers 5th birthday.
