He was born Nov. 6, 1917, the son of Fred J. and Mary Paul Biesenthal.
Surviving are one daughter, Norma Jean Vanek of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Marvin (and Marilyn) Biesenthal of Lees Summit, Mo.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Frances Buckles and Jeannette Truby.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
He was a mechanic at Pendleton Moters.
Burial was held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield.
