Stanley G. Berg, age 71, of 22520 Marsh Rd., Chilton, died on Sun. March 4, 2007 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1936 in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Isaac & Olga (Aubol) Berg. He married Nathalyn Schaefer on Dec. 28, 1955 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins.

He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. After returning from service, he worked at the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins, a charter member of the Rockea Hunting Club, and was a member of the Collins Fire Dept. where he served as Captain and training officer from 1978 to 1993. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and working in his flower gardens.

He is survived by his wife Nathalyn, his children; James Berg of Chilton, Gregg and Dolores Berg of Reedsville, David and Susan Berg of New Holstein, Stacy Berg of Valders, six grandchildren; Mitchell, Erik and Rachel Berg, Corey Berg, Misty and Alex Matzen, 2 sisters; Carol (Myron) Sengbusch and Darlene Berg all of Brillion, four brothers, Melford (Rose) Berg of CA, Norman Berg of Crivitz, Gordon (Marjorie) Berg of TX, Orrin Berg of OH, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Donna Dallmann and Lorraine Damm, two brothers, Eugene and Dennis Berg, two sisters-in-law, Judy Berg and Marge Berg and two brothers-in-law, Ted Damm and Gerald Dallmann.

Funeral services will be held on Tues, March 6, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. The Rev. Robert Hankwitz will officiate. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Friends may call at the church on Tues. from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
