LONGTIME RESIDENT
OF CALDWELL DIES
AT HER HOME TODAY
Mrs. Adaline C. Griffin 78, of
Caldwell, route 3, died at her home
at 6:a.m. today.
She was born April 16, 1872 in
Mendota, Ill., where she was a member
of the Luthern church. She grew up in
Illinois, and when a young woman moved
to Casey, Iowa, and there married George
P. Griffin March 7, 1892. The couple
lived in the Dalles and Hood River Ore.,
and moved to Idaho 45 years ago. They
lived at Idaho Falls and came to Caldwell
in 1910. In 1915 they moved to their present
home, Caldwell, route 3, where they have re-
sided for the past 35 years.
Surviving are her husband, George P. Griffin;
six daughters, Mrs.May Wilson Yakima, Wash.
Mrs. Grace Walradt, Pocatello. Mrs Nellie Judd,
Portland, and Mrs. Blanch Brooks, Mrs.Hazel
Emerson, and Edna Griffin, all of Caldwell;
one son Elbert Griffin of Wilder; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the
Peckham-Daken chapel. Burial will be in the Canyon
Hill cemetery.
