Brett Adam Willingham, 14, St. Charles, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005, in a car crash on Interstate 44 in Eureka. Also killed in the accident were his two sisters and two nephews.
Brett was born Sept. 11, 1990, in St. Louis County, the son of Don and Rita Willingham.
He was a student at Hazelwood West Middle School.
Brett was a member of the SAIL gifted program and he was involved in football, baseball and wrestling.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Angi Huckaba and Amy Willingham; his grandmother, Mildred Willingham; and two nephews, Jacob and Joshua Huckaba.
Brett is survived by his parents, Don and Rita Willingham, St. Charles; his grandparents, Chuck and Dolores Schmidt, Lake Saint Louis; aunts and uncles, Bill and Donna Willingham, St. Charles, Dave and Barb Willingham, St. Louis County, and Jan Saliba, Riverside, Calif.; five cousins, Erin and Brie Willingham, both of St. Charles, Chris Willingham, St. Louis County, Travis Willingham, Blue Springs, and Trevor Willingham, Wright City; one nephew, Alex Huckaba, St. Louis County; one brother-in-law, Shawn Huckaba, St. Louis County; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 1, at Harvester Christian Church, St. Charles.
Burial was in St. Philippine Cemetery, St. Charles.
Memorials to the family in care of Baue Funeral Home, St. Charles, are preferred.
The family was served by Baue Funeral Home, St. Charles.
