L.C. passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, in Andrews. He was born on Dec. 30, 1926, in Truscott, Texas, to Henry and Zora Abbott. He taught and coached for 36 years in Mertzon and Ector County Independent School District. He loved to golf, fish and be with his grandchildren and family. He served in the Navy aviation division in World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jean of Odessa; son, Bruce of Odessa; daughter, Carole Watts and husband, Dusty, of Lubbock; grandchildren, Taylor Abbott and Seth Watts; sisters, Peggy Jackson of San Angelo, and Maxine Butler and her husband, Norman, of Conroe.
A sister, Brenda Abbott, preceded him in death.
The family would like to extend our appreciation to our loving "Mo" and her staff and to Star Hospice.
