SPARKS, Aug 9, Mrs. Ella Bement, resident of Nevada for more than 60 years and wife of Judson Bement of Sparks, died at a Reno hospital this morning. She was 81 years and 11 months old. Mrs. Bement came to Sparks with her husband when Sparks was made the railroad terminal, having lived in Wadsworth previous to that time. She was born in Dexter, Maine, September 5, 1853 and came west after she married in November 1873. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters of Sparks. Only one known relative survives her besides her husband and that is a sister in Maine [Nevada State Journal, issue of 10 August 1934].
