Diane Foshe, 79 of Des Moines, passed away on August 5, 2013.
Diane was born July 11, 1934 in Des Moines to Glenn B. and Laura M. Simpson.

A member of the Des Moines East High School class of 1952, Diane graduated from the Iowa State Teachers College, and became an elementary school teacher.

She married the love of her life, James P. Foshe in 1955 after being introduced to him by her brothers. They had a wonderful life together until Jim's death in 1993.

Diane was an avid reader, an expert sewer, and enjoyed the challenge of hand stitching a "perfect quilt". She was a member of Eastern Star, PEO, and a long time member of Windsor Heights Lutheran Church. Diane's love of family was surpassed only by her faith in the Lord.

In addition to her parents Glenn & Laura Simpson and Jim, Diane was preceded in death by her brother Reid Simpson.

Left to celebrate her life are her sons Greg (Deb) Foshe, and Jeff (Paula) Foshe; daughter Pam Foshe and life partner Ginger Schulke; grandchildren Callie, Leslie & Grant Foshe; and brother Roger Simpson.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday August 10th at Windsor Heights Lutheran Church, 1240 66th Street, Windsor Heights, IA. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday August 9, at the Westover Funeral Home, 6337 Hickman Road Des Moines, IA.
