Juanita was born January 17, 1935 in Prentiss, KY to the late Pard and Zelmer (House) Burden.
Juanita was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed time shared with her family, fishing, watching Indiana and Kentucky basketball games and NASCAR. She was also an avid IU fan and member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Southport, IN.
She leaves behind her loving family including her husband of just over 61 years, James L. Barnett of Martinsville, whom she married on July 10, 1952; three daughters, Margie Guy (husband, John) of Paragon; Charlotte Schwab (husband, David) and Paula Cramer (husband, David) all of Martinsville; two sons, Allen Barnett of Martinsville and James Barnett (wife, Carol) of Clarksville, TN; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 pm and Saturday, August 10th from 9:00-10:00 am at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating her life will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home and burial will follow in New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
