Burton H. Holcomb, son of Albert and Harriet Gauntlett Holcomb, was b. in Milan Twp. on Aug. 6, 1858. He died in Milan June 22, 1936 at age of 77 years, 10 months, 16 days. He married Nettie Latham of Port Austin, Mich., on June 27, 1883. They lived on a farm until 1907 when they moved to Milan. They had two daughters, Laurel (Mrs. George Swinerton) and Hazel (Mrs. Fenton Doyle). They raised Paul Holcomb, a grandson. [Paul's name was originally Swinerton but he was raised to have the last name Holcomb.] Burton had a sister, Mrs. E. O. Case of Ypsi. Burton was buried at Marble Park Cemetery.
