Rachel Ray Goldston, died Monday afternoon, August 5, 2013 at Duke Raleigh Hospital., She was born June 17, 1917, the daughter of the late Otho C and Callie Nipper Ray. She was a lifetime resident of Wake County and charter member of Wakeminster Baptist Church. She worked from 1940 to 1960 in the Wake County Tax Supervisor's Office and in 1980 retired from Goldston Lumber Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Flynn Womble Goldston, son Andrew Ray Goldston and brothers, Marl, Carlyle, Jerry and Carey Duncan Ray all of Raleigh, NC.
Rached is survived by a grandson, Christopher Ray Goldston of Raleigh, NC; stepson, Flynn Goldston of Beaufort, NC; sister, Callie Macon Sauls of Garner; several niece, nephews, extended family and friends.
