John Santiago Cubilla, 61, of the 3500 block of Barry St., died Jan. 5, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Cubilla was born in Annapolis, Md. He was club manager for V.F.W. Post 4809, was a member of the Virginia Beach Shag Club and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Norma J. Cubilla; a daughter, Julia Cubilla of Virginia Beach; four sons, Paulino Cubilla of Virginia Beach, John and Jeffrey Cubilla of Richmond, Va., and James Cubilla of Norfolk; a sister, Helen R. Phillips; four brothers, Joseph, Peter and Robert Cubilla, all of Norfolk, and Philip Cubilla of San Diego, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and a Christian wake service will be at 7 p.m.
