Tex O'Dell Browning, 66, a devout Christian and dutiful servant of God, went to be with Jesus on August 1, 2013, after a long battle with emphysema at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.

He was a devoted husband and father who will be greatly missed. He proudly served 20 years in the Air Force, and moved to Ohio to live close to family when he retired in 1986.

He was born on May 26, 1947 to Vina and Paul Browning of Holden, WV.

Tex was married to Alice "Laynie" Browning for 42 years, who passed away in 2008.

Being a proud grandfather, Tex also leaves behind eight grandchildren , he also leaves behind five great-grandchildren.

Brittany Browning-Brandt and son-in-law, Timothy Brandt, five surviving brothers, Rev. Paul Wayne Browning of Paintsville, KY., Gary, Walter and Mickey Browning of
Holden, WV., and Bruce Browning of Logan, WV., Tex also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Steven Browning, Matthew Browning, Adriana Browning, Krysta Moore, Kristiane Williamson, Scott Williamson, Allison Williamson and the newest addition, Olivia Brandt, five great-grandchildren.
