OBITUARY-
Roger Allen Cooling
AUSTIN, Minn.
Roger Allen Cooling, 60, of 211 36th St. S.W., Austin, died
Saturday, Nov. 25, 1995 at the Burr Oak Manor Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today at Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church, Glenville, with the Rev. Kevin Olson officiating.
Burial will be in the Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle, with military rites by the American Legion of Lyle.
Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at The Worlein Funeral Home, 1801 Fourth St. N.W., Austin.
There also will be visitation one hour before services today at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the American Diabetes Association and the Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church, Glenville.
Roger Allen Cooling was born Sept. 14, 1935, in Albert Lea, a son of Alvin and Hazel (Ingvaldson) Cooling. He was united in marriage to Patricia Cafourek in Hayward. He spent most of his life in the London area. He was a postmaster with the United States Postal Service for 32 years. He was a member of the Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Glenville.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cooling of Austin; sons and daughter-in-law, Todd and Ronda Cooling of Lyle; Michael Cooling and partner, Steve Luce of Golden Valley; daughters and sons-in-law, Tara and Ray Phelps of Byron, and Tracy and Rod Schilling of London; grandchildren, Alison, Amy and Jessie Cooling, Laura and Jonathan Phelps of Alexander, and Jordan Schilling and one step granddaughter, Trisha Cone; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Norris Hamborg of Albert Lea, and Marlys and Max Minnich of Austin; sister-in-law, Deanna and Larry Ashley of Austin; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Cooling.
