One Terrific Lady. Wife of Byron "Barney" Heidt(1923-2001). Yoshi was from Japan, when she met Byron. They had a happy marriage and Yoshi became very close to Byron's grandson Michael. Yoshi was a lot of fun. She was sometimes hard to understand, but sweet. She always gave her opinion no matter what, but always had a lot of love to give. She was wonderful with children. She always made me feel like a prince when I was around her. We last saw both Barney and Yoshi in February 1997 when they came to my grandfather Harold's Funeral. After that we lost touch. Our family was shocked to hear of Byron's death in 2001. My grandmother called and asked to talk to Yoshi, but the lady that answered the phone said she was in bed and could not. My grandmother died in August of 2001, and we never heard what happened to Yoshi. The standing flower order that Byron and Yoshi paid for to have flowers left on his mother Eunice Moore's grave stopped coming. Soon we gave up looking. We assumed she had taken Michael back to Japan. It was a surprise to find she had died. I found it on the internet. We called the cemetery and our worst fears were realized. Yoshi had died just 11 months and 11 days after her husband. No one called us when it happened so we were surprised. It was a shock to our family that our beloved Yoshi was gone, and we were not there to say goodbye. Rest in Peace Yoshi, we all love and miss you. Sayonara Yoshi.
