CHRISTINE SCALF SPRINKLES, age 76, of the Boone Height community, was born at Heidrick, Kentucky on March 10, 1925 to the late Jim Scalf and Nan Mills Scalf.
Mrs. Sprinkles died at her residence Monday, July 23, 2001. She was a member of the Heidrick Holiness Church for over 60years. Mrs. Sprinkles was also a member of the Knox County Gideon Auxiliary . She was a former cook for the Knox County KCEOC.
On May 22, 1944, she united in marriage to Williard Sprinkles and to this union a son
Randy, and a daughter, Kathy, were born.
Mrs. Sprinkles was preceded in death by two sisters, Elon Tuggle and Ellen Scalf; a brother, Cecil Scalf; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Scalf and brothers-in-law, Lewis Hudson and Mitchell Keene.
Surviving Mrs. Sprinkles are her husband of 57 years, Willard H. Sprinkles of the Boone Height community; her children, Kathy S Mills and husband Elbert and Randy L. Sprinkles and wife, Jody, all of the Boone Height community ; her grandchildren; her sisters, Hazel Hudson and Margie Keene, both of Heidrick; her brothers, Estill Scalf and Gary Wayne Scalf and wife Mary Joe, all of Bailey Switch; a sister-in-law, Rebecca Scalf of the Smokey community and several dear nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Christine Scalf Sprinkles were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, July 26, 2001 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Tommy Frazier, the Rev. Marvin Roark and the Rev. Herbie Hoskins officiating.
Interment was in the Tuggle Cemetery at Heidrick.
In her honor, contributions may be made to the Heidrick Holiness Church, Tri-County Hospice or to the Gideons.
