He was born in Stilson, GA. Mr. Denmark was mobilized with the National Guard during the Korean Conflict, afterward joining the U.S. Army, serving a tour in Vietnam, and retiring in 1971. He received the Purple Heart and was a member of the Order of the Purple Heart. After retirement, he worked with Post Engineering at Fort Jackson. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the BS Breakfast Club. Mr. Denmark traveled extensively and enjoyed the company of his family.
