A tiny little old lady bent with age was asked to wait
A few minutes later the gates opened wide
And the tiny little old lady was ushered inside
As soon as the lady crossed the threshold
Her poor broken body was made whole
Eyes that were blind could now see
God’s great and glorious beauty
Ears that were deaf could now hear
Angles were singing of a love so dear
God on His throne asked her to come
He said with a voice full of love
Of you I am proud of a job well done
As she knelt at the throne and worshiped her Lord
She could hear other voices shouting these words
Penny, Eleanor where have you been
We have been waiting for you called family and friends
Mom is now where she has longed to be
With her blessed Lord and heavenly family
We will mourn for her for a little while
But then remember her and her precious smile
Written by her daughter Donna 'Hamilton' Colen and read at her memorial service.
