Final rites were held yesterday afternoon at two-thirty o'clock from the Harrisonburg Methodist Church for Mrs. Margaret Reeves Showalter, wife of David Roland Showalter, a popular Harrisonburg resident, who died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at her home on South Mason Street.
Services were conducted by her pastor, the Rev. H. Conrad Blackwell, assisted by a former pastor, Dr. K. K. Haddaway. The body was placed in the Community Mausoleum in Woodbine Cemetery.
The beautiful floral designs and the large gathering of friend and relatives that filled the church were in themselves a vivid testimony to the high regard in which the deceased was held.
Those attending the services from a distance were; her daughter, Miss Era Showalter, Greensboro, North Carolina; her daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Mr. and Mrs. w. B. Adams, and Jimmy, all of Penargy, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Kathleen Lincoln, Mrs. and Mrs. Allen H. Bourne and Mrs. Ernest Lincoln, all of Woodbridge, Virginia; Mrs. Lincoln, Luray and Miss Virginia Fuller, of Greensboro, North Carolina.
