Harold G. Schwartz, Jr., 68, of Brenham, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin, with Pastor Ken Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Harold was born in Brenham, Texas, to the late Harold Sr. and Welma Wanda (Duesterhoft) Schwartz. He married Gladys Vasek on August 1, 1964 in Chappell Hill. Harold worked as a mechanic for Jimmie Hahn Concrete Co. A member of Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin, Harold was also a member of the Sharecroppers Tractor Club.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Schwartz; son, Mark Schwartz and special friend, Kim Marx; daughters, JoAnne Hynes and husband, Carl, Sharon Boswell and husband, George, Jr., Patricia Gold and husband, Greg, all of Brenham, and Donna Griffin and husband, Jason, of Burton; grandchildren, Brooke and Dalton Hynes, Jess Boswell, Emily and Gracie Gold, Tristan Schwartz, and Brady and Aiden Griffin; brothers, Elroy Schwartz, Jerry and Patricia Schwartz, David and Tammy Schwartz, and Randy and Mischelle Schwartz; brother-in-law, Larry Vasek; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Mary Ann Coufal; including several nieces and nephews.
