A PFC, Army, from New Bedford, Mass., Private Medeiros was a member of the 38th Infantay Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on September 12, 1951. Private Medeiros was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.

Medeiros had enlisted in the Army on January 30, 1951. He was attached to Company C of the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2d Infantry Division, as a light weapons infantryman.

Memorialized on the Korean War Monument at Clasky Common Park in New Bedford, Mass.
