After moving to Richmond, he took a prominent position in the Congregational society at that place. Mrs Lathrop is a leader in the temperance cause and belongs to the Sabbath school. Mr Lathrop owns a large farm just at the outskirts of the village and has erected a fine residence on Main street. He is a Republican Mrs Lathrop's relatives were engaged in the war of the Revolution.
