Otto Krueger, the aged father of town clerk Charles Krueger, died at his home in the town of Maple Grove early this morning, having attained the age of 76 years.
Decedent is survived by the aged widow, eight sons, and two daughters. The sons are Otto and Albert of New Duluth, Minn., Ben and Henry of Cudahy, Charles of the town of Brillion, Walter of Maple Grove, Arthur of Ohio, and Herman of Milwaukee. The daughters are Mrs. Amborse Drumm and Mrs. Aug. Bruss, Jr. One brother, William of Oconto and two sisters, Mrs. Rika Struck of Oconto and Mrs. Christina Marech of Sheboygan, also survive.
Decedent was born in Germany and came to America with his parents in 1855, settling in Manitowoc County. He was married in 1863 to a Miss Ansorge who died a few years later. In 1871 he was again married to Augusta Taege who now survives him. He was a man of great natural ability and was always well informed on the current affairs being a great reader and a man of strong convictions.
Mr. and Mrs. Krueger reared a family of children who have made a success and won the esteem of their fellows. In 1896 the deceased served the town of Maple Grove as treasurer.
