Death of Well-Known Veteran
Richard McNelly, whose sudden death occurred yesterday, had an enviable record as a soldier during the late rebellion. He enlisted for three years and served with distinction as orderly sergeant in Company K, 5th United States cavalry. This company was Gen Grant's body-guard during his command of the Army of the Potomac.
