Funeral mass for Beverly Jean Coleman Serres, age 81 of Chadron will be Thursday, August 15th, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chadron with Father Tim Stoner officiating.

Visitation and wake will be Wednesday, August 14th, 2013 at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Bodarc Cemetery North of Harrison, Nebraska.

A memorial has been established for Saint Patrick's Church, 340 Cedar Street, Chadron NE 69337. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons in laws.

Beverly Jean Coleman Serres passed away on August 11th, 2013 at her home.
She was born February 7th, 1932 along the Niobrara River in Valentine, Nebraska to Arlo Bradford and Nellie Evelyn Galloway Coleman. On June 2nd, 1951 was united in marriage to Richard Lyle Serres in Ardmore, South Dakota by Father Beaver. They lived on a ranch in Northern Sioux County until 1955 when they moved to Chadron where they built their home and resided together until her death.

She was a member of the St. Patrick's parish and was active in the church. She especially enjoyed making and preparing gifts that she donated to the Christmas store. She was an active member of the prayer line. She enjoyed playing cards or games of all kinds with her grandchildren. She belonged to several card clubs throughout her life. She took great pleasure in caring for children. She was a care giver for over a 100 children during her life. She enjoyed having them and their children to meet her.

Husband: Richard Lyle Serres of Chadron, NE.

Sons: Steven and wife Billie Serres of Chadron, NE; Richard and wife Susan Serres of Chadron, NE.

Daughters: Crystal and husband Dan Jordan of Harrison, NE; Cherry and husband Matt Martin of Alliance, NE; Caron and Charles Ward of Mt. Vernon, WA; Colette and husband Doug Brueckner of Chadron, NE.

Brothers: Bob, Don, Gerald, and Bill Coleman.

Sisters: Ardeth Cobble and Sharon Haylett.

Grandchildren: 20
