Nellie G. Harder, 88, Minot, devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away on August 10. 2013.
Nellie was born on November 19, 1924, in Chippewa Falls, WI, the daughter of Ira and Eleanor (Boushack) Toy. She attended Marshfield High School graduating in 1942. Nellie moved to Tacoma, WA where she was employed at Carsten's and in 1944, met Gordon Harder. They were united in married on October 11, 1946, in Tacoma. In, 1948, Gordon started working for the railroad and moved his family to Underwood, ND. While working for the railroad the couple made their home in various cities in ND and in 1980, settled in Minot.
Nellie's family was her pride and joy. She was an excellent cook, loved baking and sewing all their clothes. She will be dearly missed.
Nellie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gordon; son, Terry (Kathy); daughters, Jayne Kautzman and her companion Ralph Christensen and Judy (Gaylen) Ness; grandchildren, Ned (Sarah) Kautzman, Jeremy (Deanna) Ness, Shayna (Levi) Harder-Wiggins and Lindsey Ness; great-grandchildren, Judah Reeves, Reese Kautzman and Ethan Ness; sisters, Delores (Harland) Reigel, Alice (Francis) Balmer, Ramona (Bill) Bossert, Charlane Bertsch, Janet Hasti, Teckla (Merle) Shaylor, Sharon Bullard and Joan Pryor; brother, Charles (Sharon) Toy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Ramey Reeves; siblings, LaRayne Prough, Mike Toy and Ira Toy Jr.
