NEW PARIS, Ind. - Maxine L. Wiles, 79, 19384 C.R. 142, died Monday at 2:48 p.m. at Goshen General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 11, 1923, in Goshen, to Paul L. and Myra B. (Prough) Kennedy, she married Norman E. Wiles on July 15, 1944. He died March 7, 1967.
She graduated from Goshen High School and retired from Salem/Key Bank in Goshen, where she was an assistant manager. She was a member of New Paris Missionary Church.
Surviving her are two daughters, Melissa (Tom) Yoder and Jennie (Bob) Kurtz, both of New Paris; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her husband and a sister, Thelma Campbell.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, and an hour prior to the services at New Paris Missionary Church on Thursday at 10 a.m., with the Revs. John Moran and David Hackney officiating.
Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
