Altoona Mirror, Tuesday, 25 February 1930:

"Mrs. Nellie McKendree Russell, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Rachel McKendree, 113 Clark street, Hollidaysburg, on Monday forenoon at 11:25 o'clock. She was the daughter of Thomas and Rachel McKendree of Hollidaysburg, and was born Feb. 17, 1890. She is survived by her mother, one daughter, Veneden Weaver; two brothers, Joseph of Johnstown, and Alexander, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Edward White and Mrs. Ralph Kennewell of Hollidaysburg. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. T. Stacy Capors, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian (sic) cemetery."
