William 'W.D.' Burns, 65, of 51 6th Street, York, SC, died Saturday, July 15, 2000.

He was the son of Henry Burns and Mae Sealy Burns. He was a retired finisher from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Co. He was a member of the Young at Hearts at York Church of God. He was a Veteran of the S.C. National Guard and a member of York Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ramsey Burns of York, SC; son, Dexter Burns of York, SC; three daughters, Deborah Burns Belcher of York, SC, Jennifer Buns Ayer of York, SC and Denise Burns of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Earl Burns of Hickory, NC and Clyde Burns of Durham, NC; and two sisters, Grace Burns Shillinglaw of Sharon, SC and Helen
Burns Carter of York, SC; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at York Church of God with the Rev. Donald Hawkins. He will be assisted by the Rev. Thomas Little and the Rev. lee Ayers. The burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery of York, SC. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. July 17, 2000 at Bratton Funeral Home.
