Mass of Christian Burial for Agnes V. Dunaway, 78, of Bay City will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with the Rev Charles Sonnier officiating, Internment will be in Cedarvale Cemetery.
A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Bay City Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dunaway was born Jan. 24, 1908 in Sutherland Springs, Texas and died Feb 7, 1987 at her residence.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. A residence of Bay City since 1944.
Survivors include 2 sons, Andrew N. Dunaway of San Antonio and A.G. Bennett of Apple Valley Calif., a daughter Shirley Anne Vachon of Chicago, IL, a brother Joseph Nolan of San Antonio, six sisters Claire Billiott of Galveston, Eloise Serafine and Maggie Nolan of Bay City, Veronica Allen of Hitchcock, Cecilia Reil of Houston and Johnny Mary McPeak of St Louis, MO; nine grandchildren and 2 great grand children.
Pallbearers include Roger L. Serafine, Dan Hayes, Keith Hayes Royce Hayes, Ernest Opella and David LeCompte,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Dunaway in 1973; her parents John and Ella Nolan and a daughter Rosemarie Bennett and her sister Annie Dora Nowak.
Services are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins of Bay City Funeral Home.
