Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins, Manitowoc County, the Rev. Phillip Press officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Matznick was born Jan. 29, 1887, in the Town of Rantoul, Calumet County, son of the late Ferdinand and Minnie Leibzeit Matznick. He married Minnie Wagner Dec. 28, 1912, and they farmed in the Town of Rockland, Manitowoc County, until 18 years ago, when they moved to Brillion. At Brillion, he was employed at the Brillion Foundry and at Calumet Dutch Packing Co. For many years he was a trustee and president of St. Peter Church at Collins. His wife preceded him in death March 12, 1961.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Krause, of Rt. 2, Reedsville; a sister, Mrs. Albert Schneider, of Howards Grove, Sheboygan County; four brothers, Gustav and Otto, of Kiel, William and Ferdinand, of Brillion, and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church, where the body may be viewed from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
