Mrs. J. C. Bridgefarmer, 83, residing at 522 N. Kentucky street, died Wednesday in Collin Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Collin County Feb. 26, 1886, the daughter of John and Bessie Brumby Barnes, being the former Dixie Daisy Barnes before her marriage Aug. 13, 1907. She was a member of the David Street Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth McLeod of Dallas; Mrs. Louise Reeder, Miss Bessie R. Bridgefarmer, and Mrs. Juanita Simmons of McKinney; three sons, Grady Bridgefarmer of McKinney, Ben and Billy Bridgefarmer of Dallas; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Harris-Horn Chapel, conducted by Rev. Robert Hooks and Rev. Joe McElroy, with burial in Wilson Chapel Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
