Edward A. Thomas, 80, of 310 Chestnut St., Ithaca, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 1980 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He was a son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Flynn Thomas. Until his retirement, Mr. Thomas was park superintendent for Finger Lakes State Parks. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Moose Lodge. Mr. Thomas is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Raymond {May} Frey of Binghamton and Mrs. Louise Pindar of Ithaca; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Herson Funeral Home in Ithaca with the Rev. Peter Clifford officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Robert Packer Hospital, Memorial Fund, Sayre, PA 18840.
