Mr. Bebout lost his courageous battle with health complications relating to his exposure to Agent Orange during Vietnam. His illness forced him to leave Garland Golf Course where he had worked in grounds maintenance for 30 years. He was an avid hunter, with his bow, rifle, or blackpowder, he enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, bear, ducks and more. He enjoyed fishing, especially for salmon. Above all else, he loved his family.
Doug is survived by his wife, Tonja or Winn, MI; daughter, Jennifer (Brian Adams) Rasmussen-Bebout, of Florida; son, Douglas Bebout of Alpena, MI; daughter, Amber (Scott) Bays of Alpena,MI; 1 grandson; mother, Mary Ellen Bebout of Atlanta, MI; sister, Carolyn (Bob) Pace of Clarkston, MI; brother, Richard (Jen) Bebout of Hubbardson, MI; many nieces and nephews; 3 great nephews; and 1 great great nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Bebout.
Funeral services for Mr. Bebout will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Lewiston, MI, Pator Ken McGarvey officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. The family has suggested memorials to Hospice Of Central Michigan, 401 S Main St, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858.
