COOKEVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Alline Davis, 85, of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston
& Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 16, and from 11 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis died Wednesday evening, Aug. 14, 2013, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 10, 1928, in Bedford County to the late John and Cynthia Glascow Sons.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and had been a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church since 1966. She loved children and provided child care for many families in the community for more than 30 years.
Survivors include three sons and daughtersinlaw, Paul and Peggy Davis of Corunna, Mich., Brian and Tinda Davis of Franklin and Tracy and Judy Davis of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Matthew (Christie) Leftwich, Justin (Hannah) Davis, Ethan Davis, Jared Davis and Olivia Davis; two greatgrandchildren, Fisher Leftwich and Emma Grace Davis; and a sister, Mattie (John) Walden of Eulee, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt M. Davis; a daughter, Anita Leftwich; a sister, Carrie Smith; and six brothers, Emmett Sons, John Sons, Jefferson Sons, Thurman Sons, Elmer Sons, and Claude Sons.
