Mr. Barber had been a resident of Camden County most all of his life and was retired from Gilman Paper Company with 43 years of service.
Survivors include his sister, Joann Thrift; five grandchildren, Donald E. Bigner III (Amber), Andrew M. Bigner, Carolyn Parrott, Harold Barber Jr. and Michael Barber; five great-grandchildren, Madison Bigner, Madden Bigner, Bentley Bigner, Mason Parrott and Tallyn Bigner.
The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 25 at Allison Memorial Chapel.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland with Pastor John Chesnut officiating.
Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.
