Florence J. Sklarzewski Allen, 86, formerly of Greene Twp. died Friday morning, May 21, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness. A resident of the Erie area all of her life, she was born in Greene Twp. on May 26, 1923, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Mazurski Sklarzewski.
Florence had worked at Erie Crate Co. for 10 years and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Kuhl Hose Ladies Aux. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and always had a smile on her face.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Russell R. Allen, one son, Charles R. Allen and five sisters, Anna and Francis Sklarzewski, Genevieve Wojnakowski and Josephine and Stella Gorniak.
Survivors include three sons, Edward, Roger and Ronald Allen, and one sister, Irene Monkowski, all of Greene Twp.
