Born in Taylorville, IL on March 18, 1930, the son of William D. and Opal Hawkins Coy, he was a US Navy veteran, and US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1985 from the construction business, where he worked with his father, for New Products of Taylorville. He was a member of the Morrisonville United Methodist Church and Morrisonville Historical Society.
He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Coy; and is survived by his mother, Opal I. Coy; and a sister, Maryalice Moore.
Graveside services in Morrisonville City Cemetery on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
