William H. Robinson - Garden City Telegram � August 20, 2005 � Garden City, KS - William H. Robinson, 87, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Webco Manor Nursing Home in Marshfield, Mo. He was born Dec. 8, 1917, in Mondamin, Iowa, to William Earl and Ruby Erma Cooper Robinson. A Marshfield resident since 2002, moving from Garden City, Mr. Robinson had been a pump operator for Northern Natural Gas Co. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, American Legion and Elks Lodge, all at Garden City, and was a B-26 bomber pilot during World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps. In October 1946, he married Evelyn "Lynn" Brannon. She died in January 1974. On Sept. 20, 1975, he married Sally Spencer in Walsenburg, Colo. She died Aug. 3, 1995, in Wichita. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale K. and George L. Robinson; and a sister, Bonnie L. Winter. Survivors include three sons, Wm. Gary Robinson of Marshfield, Douglas A. Robinson of Denver, and Mark W. Robinson of Walsenburg; two stepdaughters, Joy Farr of Denver, and Leslie Hodson of Liberal; a brother, Mervin Robinson, and a sister, Virginia Patterson, both of Garden City; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Garden City, with the Rev. Robert Cousins officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Garden City. Visitation hours are 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be sent in care of priceandsons.com.
