At Butler High, Dies
Lucille Critchlow Berkimer, 91, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Butler, died Aug. 22 at her residence.
Mrs. Berkimer headed the chemistry department at Butler Senior High School until her retirement. She was a faculty adviser for the "Magnet," the school yearbook. She also was the coach of the high school golf team.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She was a graduate of Butler High School. She graduated from Wooster College in 1920 and received a master's degree from the University of Illinois.
After her retirement, she taught at Slippery Rock University for several years.
She was a member of the American Association of University Women and played in many bridge tournaments.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Marshall Berkimer; two brothers; and a sister.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
