Lawrence G Mundell, 86

Lawrence G Mundell, 86, Northwoods Village Healthcare, 2233 West Jefferson Street, Kokomo, formerly of rural Forest, died noon Saturday, October 27, 2001, at the facility. Born August 26, 1915 in Clinton County, he was the son of Robert Ray and Anna Elda (Strain) Mundell. On October 4, 1936 he married Kathleen F (Foutch) Mundell.

He was a farmer all his life. He graduated from Forest High School in 1934. He was a member of Forest United Methodist Church and Farm Bureau. He served as the financial secretary for many years at the church and had been on the board of directors at Farm Bureau. He was a 4-H leader in Forest Township for 18 years where he had been a charter leader. He loved fishing, gardening and pitching horseshoes.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kathleen F Mundell; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert L "Bob" and Patricia Mundell, Forest; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol A and David Shoemaker, West Lafayette; one sister, Dorotha Pulley, Forest; four grandchildren and spouses, Lynda Wagoner and husband, Scott, Trinity, NC, Todd Shoemaker and wife, Janette, Verona, WI, Brice Mundell, Fairfield, OH, and Candee Mundell, West Lafayette; four great-grandchildren, Darin Wagoner, Chad Wagoner, Haley Shoemaker, Cameron Shoemaker. One brother, Bryon Mundell preceded him in death.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Forest United Methodist Church, Forest. The Rev Jerry Thomas and Rev Scott Wagoner will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, and one hour before the service Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
