Sister Francis Germaine
Margaret Mary Langteau was born 8 December, St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, 1928 to Emery Joseph Langteau and Germaine "Mae' G. Bilodeau. She was their 5th and youngest child. She was born on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
After her high school graduation, Mary entered the Sisters of St Joseph, St Paul, Minnesota in 1947, as a novitiate. On 19 March, 1948, Mary was given the name Sister Francis Germaine, after having earned her habit some six months earlier.
Mary attended the Diocesan Teachers College and became an elementary teacher, teaching in St Paul, Grand Forks, ND, St Kevin, Minn. and again in St Paul, grades one to four.
Mary died at Carondelet Village on 24 May, 2013. She was proceeded in death by both parents: Germaine "Mae" and Emery Langteau, Sr; brothers Gerald and Emery, Jr; and sisters Lois Gellerman and Patricia Stuber.
Mass of Christian burial was held on 14 June, 1023 at the Provincial House, interment followed at Resurrection Cemetery.
