Miss Emma Thompson Dennis, 77, died Monday at a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Marblehead, she was the daughter of Francis H. and Emma (Thompson) Dennis. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Carrie Bartlett, and several nieces and nephews. Miss Dennis operated a grocery store on Waldron street for many years up to within the past few years.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Eustis funeral home, 142 Elm street, the Rev. Thomas M. Mark, pastor of the Second Congregational (Unitarian) Church, officiating. Burial was at Waterside Cemetery with committal services by Rev. Mr. Mark.
