Otis M. Bowen 26 years, 7 months, was the first born son of Morris D. and Lorinda Bowen. He enlisted in Company K, Vermont 16th Infantry Regiment with the rank of Corporal on 23 Oct. 1862 and was mustered out on 10 Aug 1863 at Brattleboro, VT. His death was caused by illness contracted during his service.
