Mrs. George Zierden of New Munich passed away Thursday following a lingering illness. She was born in Grove township November 4, 1893, and was a She was 67 years of age time of her passing.
She married George Zierden on September 23, 1924.
Mr. Zierden survives with the following children: Mrs. Frank (Loretta) Thomes, St. Martin; Sister M. Phyllis, Wilmont, Ill; Mrs. Raymond (Florence) Funk, New Munich; Mrs. James (Marcella) Nierenhausen, Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Larry (Viola) Zwack, Freeport and Clarence, at home.
Brothers and sisters surviving include the following: Herman and Henry Schaefer and Mrs. Herman Hoppe, New Munich; Ben, Melrose; Paul, Greenwald; Leo, Richmond; Mrs. Ted Kortenbush, Meire Grove and Mrs. Paul Kerkering, Melrose. There are 18 grandchildren.
Mrs. Zierden was a member of the Christian Mothers of New Munich.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday from the Immaculate Conception church, New Munich. Friends may call at the Schoenecker funeral home in Melrose, after 2 pm, Saturday.
