GLASS--Elizabeth Marie Marjorie Louise Picot de Vauloge, 83, of Bloomfield, formerly of Farmington, widow of Edgar Toll Glass Jr., passed away peacefully Thursday, December 20th. Born in Laussane, Switzerland, daughter of the late Vicomte and Vicomtesse [Marjorie Kingsland] Robert de Vauloge.
Mrs. Glass is survived by her three children, Edgar Glass of Old Lyme, CT; Katharine Hayes of Falls Church, VA; and Peter Glass of Parker, CO, her grandchildren, Elizabeth Dale of Arlington, VA; Robert Dale of Savannah, GA; Ian Glass and Graham Glass of Parker, CO, her niece Anita Saman of Geneva, Switzerland, greatniece Olivia Saman and great-nephew Alexandre Saman.
She was predeceased by her sister Katharine Alig. She leaves a large extended family in Europe where she spent the first 16 years of her life.
Funeral services will be held on April 19, 2008 in St. James Church, Farmington, CT. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington, CT. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, a gift to the Nature Conservancy, 55 High Street, Middletown, CT 06457 would be appreciated.
Her mother, Marjorie Kingsland de Vauloge died August 25, 1970. Her father, Robert de Vauloge died March 12, 1972.
