WINDBER — CUSTER– A. Arlene, 82, Windber, died May 27, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 8, 1927, in Windber, daughter of the late Harry D. and Alma (Slick) Custer. Also preceded in death by brother, Harry. Survived by sister, Ruth "Pauline," wife of Donald Baeder, Johnstown; nieces, Michelle and Paulette; and nephews, Larry and David Baeder. Arlene was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and retired after 38 years of teaching service at Greensburg-Salem School District. Retired member of NEA and PSEA. Member of Windber Rotary Club and active member of Calvary UMC, Windber, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Hyung-Suk Joe, pastor. Interment, Richland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. www.meekfuneralhome.com.
