Funeral services for Mrs. June Mizzell, 61, of Oxford, will be 2PM Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Coldwater Baptist Church with Bro. Benny Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Snow Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 PM until service time at the church. Mrs. Mizzell passed away Tuesday at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, John C. Mizzell, mother, Demris Digby, daughters, Amber Suzanne Mizzell, step-daughter, Mary Burrage, step-son, Scott Underwood, brother, Steve Digby (Arlene), sister, Beverly Digby Lester (Michael), grandson, Matthew Thomas Mizzell, great-grandson, Jacob Cole-Howie and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Digby, Ricky Mizzell, Brad Geno, Robert Mizzell, Jimmy Kupiec and Mike Pearson. Mrs. Mizzell was born in Anniston but lived in Alaska, Colorado, Ohio and Georgia during her life. She and John enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Paris, Singapore, Spain, Puerto Rico and many other exotic locations throughout the world. Mrs. Mizzell was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Digby and grandson Matthew Paul Howie.
