Funeral services held Monday for Charles Stanford who died in Maricopa County Hospital Saturday Morning.


Funeral services for Charles Stanford were conducted Monday afternoon at the Wickenburg Chapel with the Rev. John Roelfe, pastor of the Foursquare Church and the American Legion officiating. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery.

Mr. Stanford died in the Maricopa County Hospital at Phoenix Saturday morning after an illness of seven months. The 56-year-old man, who was born in New Mexico, had lived at Camp Verde for many years, and was a Wickenburg resident for the past 6 years.

In addition to the widow, 10 children survive. They are Bert Stanford, Dorothy Allen, Billy Stanford and Zola and Zora Stanford, twins, all of Wickenburg; Gertrude Chapman, Phoenix; Laura Gregory, Prescott; June Kissell, Sunny Side, Utah; Betty Byers, Amarillo, Texas; and Roland Stanford who is in the Navy and stationed at Long Beach. A sister, Mae Glenn of Benson, Ariz., also survive.
