A.M. Irving Dies at Daughter's Home
Passed Away Early Today at Home of Dr. and Mrs. E. H. Moss; Funeral Tuesday.
Alexander M. Irving died early today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed Moss and Dr. Moss, 314 Calhoun street, following a long illness.
Mr. Irving was born January 17, 1842 at Chambersburg, Illinois, and moved to Gallatin in 1865. He was married November 13, 1867, to Miss Hattie J Atchison at St. Joseph. He was a veteran of the Civil War and served during the Spanish American war as assistant pay master.
Mr. Irving was the father of four children, Mrs. Moss, Mrs. E. S. Gregory of Gallatin, Alexander M. Irving Jr., of Chicago, Illinois, and Edward F. Irving, who died three years ago.
The burial service at Gallatin will be in charge of the Masonic lodge.
